Isaiah 40:29-31 KJV
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Context & Meaning
God specifically addresses those who have no strength left, weakness is the very condition He targets with His renewing power.
Psalm 46:1 KJV
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Context & Meaning
In trouble, God is not distant, He is described as a "very present" help, immediately available and near.
John 16:33 KJV
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Context & Meaning
Jesus neither denies difficulty nor leaves us in it alone, He has overcome the world that troubles us.
Psalm 147:3 KJV
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
Context & Meaning
God is presented as the healer of broken hearts, emotional wounds are within the scope of His restorative care.
Revelation 21:4 KJV
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Context & Meaning
The ultimate hope for all suffering: God Himself will personally end every form of pain and sorrow in the age to come.
